Maynooth University Social Science Institute
MUSSI
Maynooth University Social Sciences Institute (MUSSI) is an exciting new research institute established in 2015 as part of the implementation of the University's ambitious Research Strategy (2012-2017). MUSSI will lead two of the University’s six strategic research priorities: People, Place and Environment and Social and Economic Transformations.
MUSSI retains, incorporates, extends and builds on the success of a number of existing research institutes and centres, including the National Institute for Regional and Spatial Analysis (NIRSA), the National Centre for Geocomputation (NCG) and the International Centre for Local and Regional Development (ICLRD). It also consolidates, develops and supports a number of associated critical national data infrastructures including the All-Island Research Observatory (AIRO), the Irish Qualitative Data Archive (IQDA), and Digital Repository Ireland (DRI).
