Organisational Structure

EADI is an association that thrives through the engagement of its members. To ensure that members from all European Countries have their say, EADI is governed by an Executive Committee that includes representatives from all countries with institutional members, in addition to editors of EADI’s academic journal, the European Journal of Development Research (EJDR). To ensure effective work structures, the Executive Committee can form certain sub-committees or task groups. The Executive Committee itself - as well as the EADI president - is elected at the General Assembly of all members that takes place every three years, usually alongside the EADI general conferences. The Executive Committee further appoints a smaller Management Committee which oversees the administrative tasks of the association. The daily operations of EADI are run by the EADI Secretariat in Bonn, Germany under the supervision of the Executive Secretary.
