The session will focus on the main drivers of academic flying and will explore alternatives to flying like the use of digital communications tools as well as the role of academic institutions in enforcing environmental standards for academic flying. About the speaker:
Bram van de Glind is the co-author of the paper “Reducing academic flying beyond COVID-19: Drivers, alternatives, and avenues for change”. He did his Master at the Department of International Environment and Development Studies (Noragric) at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU).
