The workshop will be led by Sven Grimm, Head of Knowledge Cooperation and Training at the German Institute of Development and Sustainability (IDOS).

This online workshop will provide participants with practical insights into how to effectively bring research results to the attention of policymakers. Drawing on his experience as both a researcher and practitioner, Sven Grimm will address key questions such as:

• How policy and decision-making processes work
• Different models of science–policy interaction
• The role of research and the researcher in policy-relevant contexts
• The difference between disseminating research results and actively engaging in policy processes

The workshop will be interactive in nature and will include time for discussion, practical exercises, and exchange among participants.
