Development Policy and Practice, the Open University

(DPP)

DPP challenges traditional thinking about international development - what it is, who drives it, and where it happens - to help create more effective development interventions. We are driven by a desire to generate real improvements in the lives and prospects of people across the globe. We work collaboratively with other organisations and institutions globally and in the UK, as well as with other teams within the Open University studying, teaching and promoting international development. We have a full-time core group that combines diverse interests and expertise - from social science disciplines to science and technology - and a wide range of research and practical experience from Africa, Latin America, South and East Asia, and Eastern Europe.

DPP group includes our full and part-time research students. We also have visiting staff and strong links with staff in other parts of the university.
