The Centre d'Etudes et de Recherches sur le Développement International is a research centre on international development in Clermont-Ferrand, France. Established in 1976, it was the first joint research unit between the CNRS, the Frech National Centre for Scientific Research, and a French university dedicated to development economics. It brings together around 35 researchers from the CNRS, the IRD and the Université Clermont Auvergne. 

CERDI works on the macroeconomic and microeconomic aspects of economic development, with key research areas in development financing, sustainable development paths and the integration of developing economies into the world economy. Sub-Saharan Africa has been its main geographical focus since the early years, complemented by work on China, South America and Eastern Europe. The centre hosts around 40 doctoral researchers and contributes to postgraduate programmes at the School of Economics of the Université Clermont Auvergne, including the Erasmus Mundus Master GLODEP. Since 2022 it forms the Pôle Clermontois de Développement International together with FERDI and the Global Development Network, and it collaborates with FERDI and IDDRI in the Labex programme IDGM+.
