EJDR Early Career Dialogue
Understand the submission and peer-review process
You are preparing your first paper, are PhD student or Early Career Researcher? In Development Studies or related areas? The European Journal of Development Research provides a forum for the publication of original and high-quality research by researchers in early stages of their career.
We are aware that producing publishable research requires understanding a journal's peer-review and publication process, as well as the requirements for the preparation of papers to abide by its standards in terms of content and form.
EJDR’s Early Career Researcher initiative has been designed to assist with the understanding of the journal peer-review and publication process. Authors whose manuscripts are eligible for the Early Career Researcher initiative will benefit from initial internal EJDR feedback on the manuscript to ensure the paper is strong.
The virtual session on 9 June 2022 (from 16.00 – 17:30 CET) aims to introduce the EJDR Early Careers initiative and to make you familiar with paper submission and processes in particular.
Tewodaj Mogues, the EJDR's early career editor, will present the initiative. We will offer a forum for questions, discussions and reflection.
