CERES PhD Programme 2022-2023


In addition to the classic PhD Training Course for first-year PhDs, the programme has been expanded to offer shorter methodological and thematic courses. This year eight CERES courses are being offered (one with two editions). For the first time a limited number of vacancies is offered to CERES members for six additional associated courses held at IOB at the University of Antwerp. 

Four of the nine 2022/2023 courses are already coming up before the end of 2022. Participants who intend to register are advised to do so as soon as possible to secure their spots. The options offered in the next three months are:

Safety and Security for Fieldwork/In-situ Research 
              First edition, online, 18-20 October
              (A second in-person edition will be offered in June 2023)

One-day workshop on Developing Research Problems and Questions 
              In person at ISS, 10 November
              (Designed as a primer for the full PhD Training Course starting in March 2023)

Six-session course on Survey Methods and Data Collection
              In person, at ISS, November 11, 16, 18, 22, 25 and 30

Five-session participatory course on Decolonizing Scholarship and Writing Against Epistemicides
             Online, November 15, 22 and 29, December 6 and 13
