The EJDR launches new impact evaluation session

The European Journal of Development Research (EJDR) is launching a new section dedicated to the publication of original research on impact assessment. This section aims to enhance the visibility of the original research on the impacts of development policies and programs that the EJDR publishes. Furthermore, it will provide a forum for the publication of evidence-based analyses and critiques of the implications of impact assessment for development policy and practice.The editorial team welcome new submissions for the Impact Evaluation section and interested authors are asked to submit their work to the team of editors in the normal way, indicating that their submission is for the Impact Evaluation section. Dr Keetie Roelen is a Research Fellow and Co-Director of the Centre for Social Protection at the Institute of Development Studies in Brighton, UK. She is a development economist by training and current research interests include the measurement and dynamics of (child) poverty, psychosocial aspects of poverty and the role of social protection and economic empowerment programmes in reducing poverty in all its forms. Her research includes quantitative and qualitative studies and impact evaluations, and she has a keen interest in mixed methods approaches.

EADI’s new Journal Mentoring Programme (JUMP) in cooperation with the European Journal of Development Research (EJDR), seeks to empower young researchers from the global South to publish in the EJDR. During the EADI NORDIC conference in Bergen, Norway, the first ever group of JUMP mentees attended several workshops and met their mentors.
