Past EADI General Conferences
Since 1975, each of the triennial conferences have focused on themes of topical interest, and assembled over 500 participants. These conferences are the Association's public forum for debate and research. The General Conference of EADI is a major European event devoted to the topical theme of development.
EADI General Conference 2017: Globalisation at the Crossroads Rethinking Inequalities and Boundaries
The conference was a partnership between EADI (European Association of Development Research and Training Institutes), NFU (Norwegian Association of Development Research) and the University of Bergen.
EADI General Conference 2014: Responsible Development in a Polycentric World: Inequality, Citizenship and the Middle Classes
The 14th General Conference of the European Association of Development Research and Training Institutes (EADI) was a major European event devoted to the topical theme of “Responsible Development in a Polycentric World: Inequality, Citizenship and the Middle Classes”.
The EADI-DSA 2011 joint conference was a convening space to fundamentally revisit and rethink the development paradigm(s) in all its dimensions in an era of plurality, uncertainty and change.
The Conference was held from 24-28 June 2008 in Geneva, Switzerland and presented the perceptions of leading European development experts and their associates in the developing regions on dramatic global challenges and on possible policy options or governance models to meet those challenges.
