EADI Seminar: How to Include the Extreme Poor through Inclusive Development? Amsterdam, 26 March

You are kindly invited to attend the EADI seminar on 'How to Reach the Extreme Poor through Inclusive Development?' on 26 March, 13.00-18.00 at the University of Amsterdam.
The seminar will consist of two keynote presentations by Professor Katja Bender, Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg, on 'Social Protection and Inclusion of the Extreme Poor: An institutional perspective' and Professor Marleen Dekker, African Studies Centre, Leiden University, and Dr Nicky Pouw, University of Amsterdam, on 'Policies, Programs and Interventions for Inclusive Development in SSA: Empirical perspectives and conceptual refinement', followed by a discussion with the participants.
The purpose of the seminar will be threefold: (i) discuss lessons learned from Inclusive Development polices and instruments (social protection, productive employment, and investing in strategic actors) (ii) formulate new policy and research directions, and (iii) identify concrete instruments by means of which the poor can be effectively reached and 'hidden costs' can be addressed.
The seminar starts is preceded by a joint lunch, which starts at 13.00 o'clock. The seminar is scheduled from 14.00-16.00 and is followed by drinks. You are welcome to join us for both lunch & drinks. Registration with Nicky Pouw: email@example.com
