National University of Political Studies and Public Administration (DRIIE-SNSPA) This Master’s Degree Program is the first accredited program in Romania which aims to prepare future experts in the evaluation of European public policies and programs sector. [...] The qualification for evaluator of European programmes and policies has been validated by the National Authority for Qualifications. The validation of this MA qualification relies on the fact that this specialization has an innovative character and is a point of interest for the academic community, while being connected with the labor market requirements at national and international level. Thus, this specialization does not only contribute to covering an important area for the higher education in Romania, but also responds to a real need of the society, aiming to reduce the deficit of specialists in assessing project proposals financed by the European Union.
The program offers students the possibility to acquire information regarding project evaluation and the management of European funds, methods of economic evaluation and social research, theory and practice of public policies and programs evaluation, notions of audit and financial evaluation and so on. Practical skills will be improved through internship programs, lasting between 2 weeks and 3 months, conducted within institutions or organizations such as the Ministry of European Funds, Intermediate Bodies, the Romanian Academic Society, NEA, the National Authority for Scientific Research, The Evaluation Institute, Ernst & Young and so on.
This program is addressed to university graduates under Bologna system (3 years) or to those who graduated from long term university study programs (4 years). Any field is eligible (agriculture, construction, accounting, economics, engineering, environment, social sciences, tourism and so on).
