National University of Political Studies and Public Administration (DRIIE-SNSPA) The MA programme International Relations and European Integration (DIREI) is part of the classic educational offer of the Department of International Relations and European Integration, being at the same time the oldest MA programme dedicated to the study of international relations and European studies in the institution. The continuity of the programme is based on the students’ appreciation for the varied academic content, its interdisciplinarity and the quality of teaching constantly adapted to the evolutions at the European and international level, respectively to the needs and requests of the students. The MA programme proposes a dual approach to current regional and international affairs: on one hand, international relations that offer a global perspective and on the other, European studies that focus more on the regional level. This interdisciplinary approach is necessary in order to offer its students the necessary tools that deal with the current challenges and provides a comprehensive approach to national, regional and international levels.
The programme is generally addressed to students graduating from university studies under the Bologna regime (3 years) or to graduates from long term university studies (4 years or more) and, in particular, to those who wish to build a strong career in international organizations such as the EU, NATO, UN, etc., but also national public institutions such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of European Funds, Romanian embassies abroad, etc. Also, the programme supports students with an inclination for research in the domains accommodated by the MA and encourages participation in the activities of the Centre for European Studies, conferences, workshops and seminaries.
