King’s International Development Institute (IDI) The Department of International Development at King's offers one undergraduate degree, which is our International Development BA. The course looks at rising economic powers like the BRIC countries as well as other successful economies such as Indonesia, Vietnam, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Nigeria, South Africa, Turkey and South Korea.
King’s international development programme asks what these countries have done that is distinctive and new. But, the programme also explores whether these changes are enduring and examine the ongoing challenges of national development facing these nations. King’s international development programme looks at emerging economies for policy innovations and solutions that may offer lessons for poorer regions and nations.
The International Development BA is an interdisciplinary programme covering Development Economics, Politics, Sociology, and Anthropology.
