About this Working Group
The emphasis of this Working Group has been on studying industrialization strategies of developing countries. The group examines alternative industrialization strategies, the impact of structural adjustment on industrialization, the flexible specialization and industrial districts, the role of innovation and the importance of export for small and medium-sized enterprises. The group organizes regular seminars and maintains contacts between members. Six seminars have resulted in books. The group also maintains a think tank on the Oneworld Website.
