European Master in European Development Co-operation This idea for collaborative activity between a series of EADI member institutes is an initiative for which the Working Group is seeking SOCRATES support for Curriculum Development. This project is the first expression of the desire expressed by several institutes to co-operate in offering a specialist master which does not compete with existing provision in EADI institutes, but which draws initially on the comparative advantage of a number of institutes, primarily in some of the smaller countries of the EADI constituency: Finland, Scotland, The Netherlands, Portugal, Switzerland, Ireland and Hungary. Besides the continued development of a database on the comparative advantage of centres in Development and Area Studies (DAS), the Working Group organizes student and staff mobility within a pilot project supported by the Institute for Social Studies (ISS), The Hague, the Institut Universitaire d'Etudes du Développement (IUED), Switzerland, and the Centre for African Studies (CAS), Scotland.
