Development Studies in Europe - nature and role of development studies

With this dossier on development studies in Europe EADI would like to provide a forum for both the presentation and the discussion of the “state of the art” in development studies, its institutions and perspectives in European countries.

We collect and present opinions from researchers all over Europe, presenting the situation of development studies in their countries. This includes the institutional situation, the positioning of development studies in research and training, as well as future perspectives of the discipline. Ideally, this will initiate a broad exchange of ideas and a pan-European discussion of the nature of today’s and tomorrow’s development studies.
