European Journal of Development Research
The European Journal of Development Research (EJDR) is a multi-disciplinary journal that seeks to broaden our understanding of the processes that advance or impede human development, whether from a political, economic, sociological or anthropological perspective. It is published five times a year by Palgrave/McMillan. The EJDR is generously sponsored by the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies Geneva.

Issue 21.5 of EJDR, a special issue featuring papers from the 2008 DSA conference, is now available. To celebrate this issue, we are making Olivier Rubin's article, ‘The Merits of Democracy in Famine Protection – Fact or Fallacy?’ free to access until the end of the year. Professor Rubin's article was the winner of the EJDR essay prize in 2008.
