Terms and Conditions
The conference organisers offer the following promotional opportunities for commercial publishers and (member) institutes:
Book exhibition for commercial publisher
Fee (per space) from 24-27 June: 400 EUR
(Member) institutes (book and publication sale)
Fee (per space) from 24-27 June: 250 EUR
Information stand for member institutes participating in the conference (without commercial purposes)
Fee per space: 150 EUR
Leaflet insert in the conference pack and publisher's link on the conference website
Fee per conference pack: 0.50 EUR (i.e. 250 EUR for 500 participants)
- 1. General information: The Conference, which is organised every three years, attracts approximately 500 to 600 researchers, faculty staff, students, policy-makers and other experts working in the field of development.
- 2. Location of the book exhibition: The Conference will be hosted in two buildings of the University of Geneva situated around 400 metres apart. The book exhibition will be in the Uni-Dufour building (Rue du General-Dufour 24, 1204 Geneva,) where the plenary sessions are being held. The exhibition will take place in the open space outside the Rouiller auditorium. The display space available to exhibitors per stand is 6 m2.
- 3. Transportation: Exhibitors are responsible for getting their books to and from the exhibition. They will have access to the exhibition area on morning 24th of June to set up their stands (the exact time will be communicated closer to the date). The exhibition will open at 2 pm. The exhibition will be closing on Friday 27th of June at 2 pm. Please note that display space will be allocated upon arrival at the conference on a first come first served basis.
- 4. Items & facilities: Tables (1.5m x 0.9m) and chairs will be provided by the conference organisers. Display stands for posters will be available but need to be requested in advance. All other items required have to be organised by the publishers. For assistance with special technical requirements and facilities, please contact Barbara Coghlan at the Graduate Institute, Geneva (e-mail below).
- 5. Staff: Publishers / institutes are responsible for the personnel in charge of their stand. If required, the local host institute - the Graduate Institute - can supply staff to man stands (fee: 22 EUR per person and hour + tax). Please contact Barbara Coghlan at the Graduate Institute, Geneva (details below) concerning specific requirements.
- 6. Booking Deadline:Publishers and Institutes wishing to exhibit at EADI's 12th General Conference must complete the booking form available on the EADI website and return it to Barbara Coghlan by 23 May 2008. Payments should be made directly to EADI (details provided on the booking form). Your booking will only be held once the payment has been received.
