EU Fund Raising
Dates: 16-17 June 2011
Location: Bonn
Venue: EADI Secretariat
As an interactive workshop, this Masterclass will focus on learning to indentify EU funding opportunities, to efficiently prepare a proposal and to write a successful application. Every participant will have the opportunity to discuss his or her proposal with the trainer in individual sessions.
The participants will be able to establish consortia, work on the content of the proposal, define budgets and steering the consortium towards a successful submission. The workshop is highly interactive with room for discussion of experiences, case studies and exercises. In the end, the participants have gained a full overview and knowledge on what it takes to acquire EU funding.
Trainer
The trainer will be Mrs. Theresia Twickler, a freelance consultant with twenty years of experience in the field of acquiring and implementing EU funds for research (amongst others in the development cooperation). She has acquired experience in all facets of EU funding (legal financial and managerial). Her special interest lies in the overall management of acquiring funding and controlling it in a professional way, not only from the perspective of a project consortium, but also from an institutional point of view. When a project is successfully implemented and managed by a consortium with efficient support from their institutions, it will generate a professional track record and image towards the funding organization, which in itself generates new, future successes.
